Suited to data networking, CCTV security and audio visual applications, the Proline Series offers a range of cabinets to rack-mount 19-inch equipment on walls, with attention paid to ease of mounting, or alternatively either castors or levelling feet can be used for free-standing or under-desk applications. With light weight, riveted, steel construction giving strength and rigidity, they are available in five heights, two depths and two colours and are supplied complete with a toughened glass door. Side and rear panels are removable, with the rear panel having a large cable entry cut out. The standard single-section cabinets may be extended by adding a rear section.
The rear panel of each cabinet can be removed, used as a drilling template and then fixed to the wall. The cabinet is then lifted and secured onto the panel and fixed with screws - a quick and easy, 'one-man', installation. The optional rear section gives extra depth, but more importantly gives access to the rear of the equipment without taking it out of the cabinet. The rear section, which incorporates a hinge, is fixed to the wall. The front section is attached, and can then be swung away for rear access when a lock is released.
The racks are available in two depths, 450mm or 600mm. Each rack has four folded-steel pillars forming the frame of the rack, fixed to the top cover and the base. Horizontal, front to back, flanges are incorporated in the base and top; front and rear 19-inch mounting-profiles fix to the flanges, and are adjustable through the depth of the cabinet as well as being removable without fully unscrewing their fixings. Note: On 450mm deep cabinets, only front 19-inch mounting-profiles are supplied as standard.
The doors fit flush, within the cabinet. The front doors are toughened smoked glass with extruded edges, inclusive of a white decorative trim and a single-point barrel lock. Quick-release hinges facilitate the reversal of the opening direction of the door and improve access in confined spaces. The two steel side-panels fit to the bottom of the rack and are secured via a cylinder lock at the top.
Top covers have air vents to the front and two perforated grills suitable for fitting single 120mm diameter fans or optional fan modules to implement forced ventilation. Top covers also have a rectangular 'cut-out' towards the rear, for cable entry. The top cover cable-entry point has a rubber-edged, sliding mechanism, which holds any cables in place and prevents dust ingress. The base cover and rear panel have similar
